Why I Created This Course

Do you realize that you need to use LinkedIn, but every time you try, imposter syndrome strikes?  Do you cringe at even the mention of having to network because it feels awkward and uncomfortable?

The good news is that you’re not alone! Many people dislike networking and have trouble getting started on LinkedIn. But the better news is that there are now solutions! I have developed this course to help you master both of these challenging professional tasks.

Truth be told, for me as well, both LinkedIn and networking have been necessary evils. I have struggled with them, and so have many of my students and clients.

The fact is, you don’t need to feel inauthentic or like you’re losing yourself in the process of networking or putting yourself out there on LinkedIn.

I went from fear and avoidance on LinkedIn to having 80K followers and being awarded with a Top Voice Recognition on LinkedIn for my writing and posting on education! There is a way to feel authentic and comfortable and at the same time self-promotional. And that’s why I created this course – to help you learn to do just that.

Testimonials

  • Prior to Andy Molinsky’s course on LinkedIn I was overwhelmed by the thought of posting on the platform and simply avoided using LinkedIn all together. The modules in the course are packed with crucial information and took about an hour to complete. The module on LinkedIn content was particularly influential as it segments ways to engage on the platform.

Prior to Andy Molinsky’s course on LinkedIn I was overwhelmed by the thought of posting on the platform and simply avoided using LinkedIn all together. The modules in the course are packed with crucial information and took about an hour to complete. The module on LinkedIn content was particularly influential as it segments ways to engage on the platform. The course provided manageable and powerful techniques for creating more effective personalized content interacting with others. Unlike most other courses which simply show users how to set up a complete profile, this course goes above and beyond providing key insights on the dynamics of LinkedIn, which aren’t discussed on any other LinkedIn course I have taken.

  • The module “Networking in an Authentic Manner” has many tips for helping overcome the anxiety of this type of situation.   Specifically, learning how to network without losing yourself in the process was a helpful structure.  Key in this was the conversation portion and the reminder to have a purpose and to balance “telling” (about yourself) with “asking questions” (of the other person).  Sometimes we get too focused on ourselves

The module “Networking in an Authentic Manner” has many tips for helping overcome the anxiety of this type of situation.   Specifically, learning how to network without losing yourself in the process was a helpful structure.  Key in this was the conversation portion and the reminder to have a purpose and to balance “telling” (about yourself) with “asking questions” (of the other person).  Sometimes we get too focused on ourselves that we forget the two-way element of networking which is the core for real authenticity.  This module also provides some tips such as bring a friend or colleague with you to the networking event or don’t set an unrealistic goal of meeting everyone at the event, rather meet with a few folks and have a meaningful conversation.  The information in this module is practical and easily applicable – helping step outside your comfort zone with greater confidence and ease.

  • Many people – including me – tend to avoid networking and putting yourself out there.  And that’s true even of very experienced professionals.  So, I was so pleased to learn about Andy Molinsky’s course and found the content on networking and LinkedIn really helpful for demystifying the process and providing me the insights I needed to get started and have productive and successful conversations in my own way and with my own style.  I’d highly recommend this content for anyone who struggles with networking but knows it’s essential for their job.

  • LinkedIn Like a Pro really transformed my thinking. The instructor makes a strong case for the indispensability of LinkedIn as a networking tool, while never forgetting the psychological hurdles — like avoidance and procrastination — that keep people from getting the results they want. By the end of the course, I had a much deeper understanding of the power of LinkedIn. Even better, I had a new set of easy, practical steps to grow and use my network. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to joyfully reboot their LinkedIn experience!

The module allowed me to clearly identify my mental blockers and think of strategies to address them in a workplace setting. I’d recommend this module to anyone who wants to level up their career confidence and shape their professional identity.
